The Law Office of Joseph Soffer provides legal assistance, advice, and

Joseph Soffer has been practicing law
for more than 30 years. He is known for being a great listener, taking time to listen
and understand his clients’ needs. Over the
years, he has developed a reputation as an attorney who makes every
effort to resolve issues as amicably as possible while ensuring that his clients interests are protected.
Mr. Soffer graduated from New York University in 1984 with a major in Politics. While attending college, Mr. Soffer worked for a trademark and patent firm where he helped protect trademarks for clients such as Rolex, First Nationwide Savings Bank, and Joujou designs.
Mr. Soffer graduated from Tulane University Law School in 1987 and was admitted to the New York State and Connecticut Bar Associations at that time. He is also admitted to the Southern District and Eastern District Federal Court Bars as well as the Second Circuit. Immediately after graduating law school, he began working as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) for the Nassau County District Attorney’s office in New York.
After three years of prosecuting criminals, Mr. Soffer pursued private practice and worked for a law firm where he handled all aspects of legal matters involving personal injury, matrimonial, real estate, and criminal defense work.
In 1991 Mr. Soffer
opened his own firm which focuses on
matrimonial and divorce matters. Today, he is a member of several renowned
organizations including the New York State
Academy of Trial Lawyers, New York Criminal and Civil Bar Association, New York
State Bar Association as well as the American Bar Association.
